LLS: Student Visionaries

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission is to CURE leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease, and myeloma, and improve the life of patients and their families. LLS is making strides toward a cure for all blood cancers through their 3 pillars, research, patient education and support and advocacy.

First LLS is investing in ground-breaking research for better and new treatments, giving patients the power to hope.

With patient support, LLS is Proving the most robust roster of support and resources for blood cancer patients and families, giving patients the power of knowledge. And advocacy – giving the power of a voice to cancer patients in our community so they have access with fewer barriers to the cures and resources LLS provides.

LLS is funding this lifechanging mission through incredible campaigns like The Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign. The Student Visionaries of the Year campaign is a philanthropic, leadership program where incredible high school students compete to raising awareness and funds towards the LLS mission in hopes to be crowned the Student Visionary of the Year winner! Every dollar donated is a vote towards that candidate team.

Student candidates and co-candidates recruit and lead a multi-generational team to work together through their fundraising plan and raise as much money in the 7 week competition as they can. At the end of the 7 weeks, this year on March 9th, these students, their teams, family and community will all come together to celebrate this life-changing journey, crown the winning team, and reveal the final collective fundraising total they have worked so hard to accomplish all together.
